2023 Inductee Larry Gebert

For his adoration, personification, and leadership of KTVB’s Gold Standard commitment to excellence in community service and accurate, engaging forecasting on and off the air. As a true beacon for Idaho’s non-profits and the industry, Idaho thanks Larry Gebert for 30 years at KTVB.

Larry Gebert (June 25, 1956-April 1, 2022) was a talented and beloved meteorologist at KTVB in Boise, Idaho for more than 30 years. His passion for people, community, family and his epic storytelling are his legacy.

Larry grew up in Great Falls, Montana and began his broadcasting career in 1977 working for a radio station while completing his degree at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. He moved to Boise in 1983 and began working for KTVB in 1992.

Larry was Mr. KTVB with his iconic mustache, signature Dockers, station polo and sneakers. He was a staple at community events across southern Idaho, living out the station mission daily while serving, empowering and sharing community stories from all over the Boise and Twin Falls markets.
