Maria Lamarca Anderson

Maria Lamarca Anderson is an Emmy Award recipient with more than 25 years experience in television (KING 5 and KIRO 7), technology, social services, the arts and, currently, in academia as the director of communications at the University of Washington Bothell. A long-time member of the NATAS Northwest board, she chaired the Silver Circle & Gold Circle Committee for 10 years, increasing the diversity - considering a variety of metrics - of Circles honorees. She now serves on the Scholarship Committee, using diversity, equity and inclusion as her guiding star.

In addition to her Emmy award and nominations, among her accomplishments she is most proud of mentoring young people and seeing them thrive, serving a number of organizations as a volunteer in meaningful ways, and receiving a Together We Will Award from the University of Washington and the 2021 Outstanding Public Service Award from UW Bothell. #wealldowhatwecan
