In addition to setting a high standard for work within our industry, Circles inductees are also noted for community service, which may also include service to the broadcasting industry, mentoring upcoming journalists, service to NATAS and general contributions to the community at large.

Nominees may include those in academic, administrative, creative, journalistic, performing or technical roles within the television industry. This milestone is reserved for professionals who haven’t just witnessed change in an industry, they’ve led it. Gold and Silver Circle inductees are nominated by their peers through a selection committee established by NATAS NW.

The Gold & Silver Circle Honors will be held Friday, May 31st, at Fremont Studios in Seattle.

The Silver Circle recognizes individuals who have served in the industry for a minimum of 25 years, with the majority being spent in our region. Individuals selected for induction have done more than work professionally for 25 years. They are the best and brightest in our business. Ideal candidates will also have extensive public service, mentoring, leadership and professional accolades.

The Gold Circle recognizes similar individuals who have served in the industry, with the majority in our region, in an exemplary fashion for a minimum of 50 years. Most importantly though, is the contribution to the profession and to the community that the individual has made during that time.

Service can be in a performing, journalistic, creative, technical, educational or administrative (advertising, promotion and public relations) role within the industry. Selection will consider service to the general community, the television industry, the National Academy, and the training of others for careers in television.

To nominate someone, complete the nomination form online. Nomination submissions are accepted year round and recipients are chosen in the spring and presented in June. The nomination can be done anytime in the year.
