The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Northwest Chapter promotes excellence by showcasing work created by high school students in news, craft and programming categories. 

These awards are open to any College, University, Trade Schools and High School in the Northwest chapter’s area. Recipients are recognized at the Northwest Regional Emmy® Awards event each year with Student Production Awards.

To be eligible, entries must have been produced in the Northwest Region during the eligibility period January 1, 2023 to February 27, 2024, but must not have been entered in a prior year’s Student Production Awards.

Entry Deadline is February 27th, 2024

2024 NATAS Northwest Student Production Awards

This Call for Entries covers both the College Division and High School Division Student Production Awards. 

College and High School nominees will be announced in late April and award recipients will be announced and recognized in June.

ENTRY FEES for the 2024 NATAS Northwest Student Production Awards

Entry fees are reduced to of $25 per entry (regardless of number of student entrants on the entry), however NATAS Northwest offers a fee waiver for High School entries in some circumstances to help eliminate a financial barrier that may otherwise keep a talented student or team of students from entering their work. Details are noted below in the “fees” section of the Rules & Regulations.

Important Reminders

These awards are to recognize STUDENTS’ in their PRODUCTION. Teachers/Instructors/Advisors are an important part of students’ learning but are not recognized as a recipient of the Student Production Awards.

From that page, entrants will be able to set up a profile, or if a profile exists, log into your dashboard.

A SUBMITTER is the person completing the entry form. This person is not required to be an ENTRANT.

If the SUBMITTER is not the teacher/instructor/advisor for the entry, we do need to have his/her contact information. You may list him/her as an ENTRANT with the title of ADVISOR. Be sure to include their email address and phone number.

An ENTRANT is a student who performs a function in producing the entry, producer, camera, talent, etc List each student as ENTRANTS (see exception for craft entries). All involved in the production should be named.

EXCEPTION NOTE: In the craft categories, list ONLY those students performing the specific craft submitted. (i.e., Craft Category – WRITER – only the writer will be recognized)

Include the email address of each student ENTRANT.

NOTE: We DO NOT maintain email addresses after completion of the 2023 awards. Email, phone, addresses are strictly confidential and never shared. The email addresses are exclusively used by NATAS Northwest staff for the purpose of contacting students on specific issues pertaining to the Student Production Awards.

Certificates are presented to all named entrants for nominated or winning entries.
