Janine Blackwell
Janine Blackwell has been a high school video and film teacher for 22 years. She teaches the entire production process, giving students a chance to explore and focus on their likes and talents.
She began her professional career in a commercial production house as a PA, she worked cable news as a weekend photographer and Tapes Op, has worked various freelance jobs, and she was a producer in local government before teaching.
Notable achievements include a CableACE Award for Children’s Programming, multiple Overall Excellence Awards for NATOA, a SkillsUSA Teacher of the Year Honor, advisor for nationally ranked student production from 2006-Present for SkillsUSA Broadcast News Production and advisor for NATAS NW Student Award and nominations for Sports and News.
Janine lives in Vancouver, Washington.
