Silver Gold Hula Hoops.jpg

For those unfamiliar with the Circles, this honor goes to media professionals who have solid records of making lasting contributions to our industry and community, here are the nomination forms for the Gold Circle for 50+ years (doc) and the Silver Circle for 25+ years (doc).

Candidates must have more than longevity to their credit: they must be truly outstanding in their contribution to both the television industry and their communities.

Service can be in a performing, journalistic, creative, technical, educational or administrative (advertising, promotion and public relations) role within the industry. Selection will consider service to the general community, the television industry, the National Academy, and the training of others for careers in television.

These folks are found throughout your station, some easily recognizable, others quietly in the background. Those assigning the news, shooting the stories, managing the control room and designing the sets are all integral to bringing the news to our viewers.

They can be people you work with now or from a former life, perhaps someone who saw your talent and supported you when you started in the industry. They can be retired or passed on—we’ve inducted people posthumously.
