Nicole Sanchez
Emmy-award winning journalist Nicole Sanchez has worked in television for more than 25 years. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the NATAS Chapter Council. For the NW Chapter, she is the Workshop & Member Outreach Chair and an Idaho Regional Representative. She is a past Chapter President and National Trustee.
Nicole is a seasoned storyteller and works for London-based WebsEdge, the Seattle Channel, and has a production company. She spent the first part of her career reporting and anchoring in newsrooms including Q13 FOX News and KOMO ABC 4 in Seattle, and KIMA-TV in Yakima. She has also worked for Idaho Public Television and Idaho News 6 as the Host & Producer of the Shine a Light Award Program. Her work has been recognized several dozen times by NATAS NW, the Society of Professional Journalists, WorldFest International Film Festival, the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors, the Telly Awards, the Communicator Awards, the Alliance for Community Media Hometown Awards, and the Ava Digital Awards. Nicole has also been awarded with a regional Edward R. Murrow Award. She continues to be grateful to NATAS Northwest for blessing her with a scholarship in the late 90s.
Nicole graduated with honors with a degree in Communications and a minor in Political Science from Washington State University. She enjoys teaching workshops at the Murrow Symposium including the On-Air Talent and News Writing Workshops.
