Membership

The Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences represents television professionals in five Northwest states. Our Mission is to encourage excellence in television programming in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Montana. The Northwest chapter is one of 20 affiliates of the National Academy.

In June each year we bring nearly 450 people together in Seattle to present the EMMY® Award. It's a night of glamour, honor and a rare chance for people from all across the region to join together in one goal. Awards are presented in more then 60 categories, including news, documentaries, entertainment, sports and various craft categories.


2010 Membership Dues

$50 - Professional membership paid between September 1 and December 31
$75 - Professional membership paid after December 31

What does membership in the NATAS Northwest chapter mean to you?

A LOT! And it’s just about to mean even more!

You already know membership can save you money on your EMMY® entry fees. It will also save you money on your tickets to the EMMY® show. But did you know how much money your membership can save you?

Let me show you. We’ll start with the EMMY® Awards. For every program entry you’ll save $25.00. If you enter just two things, you’ve paid for your membership! On individual craft entries you’ll save $80.00 per entry!

At the EMMY® Awards program your membership entitles you to any discounts on hotels, tuxedos, or any other special offers we are able to secure. Not to mention you’ll save on your EMMY® ticket.

Membership in NATAS is not all about saving money, there are other benefits. While you will save money on attending the programs, our goal is to make them informative and entertaining.

Membership in the Northwest Chapter automatically makes you a member of the National Academy. You'll have electronic subscription to “Television Quarterly,” an informative magazine on the state of television.

These are just a few of the benefits currently available and your membership committee is working very hard to increase the benefits of your membership.
