Raised in nearly 20 communities and 12 schools across Alaska, Lee came well prepared to enter the world of Alaskan journalism. After graduating from UAF, he started working at KTUU - Channel 2 New. In the 22 years since, he's proofread thousands of scripts and pissed off many reporters, anchors and news directors at KTUU, KTVA and APRN. Lee left the biz briefly to live in Beijing. However, China's pollution didn't agree with his lungs and returned to Anchorage doing on-call work at KTUU, writing screenplays. Lee is currently a Media Instructor with MEDIAK, teaching Journalism/Mass Media to Alaska Native students, he says, "It's amazing to come full circle and teach students from rural Alaska... a place I still call home." Drop him a line if you're ever in the neighborhood! |
