Jamie Jensen

After 15 years on the Board of the Northwest chapter, Jamie is coming around for her second round in the President's seat - serving as co-President with Dick Splitstone.  She is also the Trustee for the Northwest NATAS Chapter, serving as the chapter representative to the Board of Trustees of the National Academy.  Jamie just completed two terms as Secretary of the National Board of Trustees. Jamie spent nearly two decades as a producer in television news and programming.  Starting her broadcasting career on the air in radio in Wickenburg, Arizona, she moved into the producer chair at KYMA-TV in Yuma, Arizona.  She moved to Seattle in 1990 to write and produce for KIRO-TV.   After serving time as a producer of special projects at KIRO, KOMO and promotions at KING, Jamie launched her own production company working with various corporations and non-profits on their video and marketing projects.  She continued freelancing for NBC news and several Seattle TV stations, but turned her focus to fundraising and marketing for non-profits.  Most recently Jamie served as Vice President of Development and Marketing at The Hope Heart Institute.

You can currently find Jamie selling real estate with John L. Scott Real Estate in the Seattle area, but keeping her fingers in writing and production projects as often as possible. Community service is at the heart of everything Jamie does. She served as Director of Entertainment for the Kitsap County Fair and Stampede, in Bremerton, Washington, and has served on executive committees and as a board member for several Seattle non-profit organizations including: The Woodland Park Zoo Society - Wildkeepers and Rise n' Shine. Jamie joined the Board of the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 1995 as Membership Committee Chair. She then served four years as Chair of the EMMY® Awards Committee, before serving two years as Vice President and four years as President of the Northwest Chapter. Jamie lives in Kingston, Washington with her husband, 4 dogs, 2 cats and 3 steer (yes, cows.)
