Chicago/Midwest
Our Chapter was founded in 1958 after an expansion call by then National President, Ed Sullivan. We are one of the largest and most senior local chapters in the country, with a proud history of innovation and excellence in the field of broadcast television and beyond.

Our members come from all areas of the industry and include the following markets:

Heartland
Founded in 1947, the National Television Academy (NTA) and the Emmy Award stand for the best in the television industry. The National Academy is the only non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement, raising industry standards, and improving the quality of television. Its dedication to excellence is pursued every day by members of its 19 chapters across the country. The Heartland chapter was formed in 1986 after an intense effort to meet the high eligibility standards of the National Academy's national board, and serves the television industry in these markets/DMAs: Denver, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Wichita/Hutchinson, Omaha, Colorado Springs/Pueblo, Lincoln/Hastings-Kearney, Topeka, Grand Junction/Montrose, Cheyenne/Scottsbluff and North Platte. 		733
Lone Star
In June 2002, the Board of Trustees of the National Television Academy (NTA) unanimously approved the formation of the Lone Star Chapter in Texas, and in four years, the chapter has grown to become one of the largest in the country.

The statewide Lone Star Chapter serves all 19 television markets in Texas, and includes members from TV-related fields including: news and non-news broadcasting; production; post production; education; advertising; and public relations. 		652
Lower Great Lakes
The Lower Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has a mission to serve its members, recognize excellence and promote the highest standards in television professionalism. 		730
Michigan
The Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (MI-NATAS) is the most recognized non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of Excellence in Television! From Marquette to Detroit, from Flint to Grand Rapids and finally, Traverse City; our membership has someone to talk to in every region of our television industry across the state! 		723
Mid-America
The Mid-America chapter was chartered in 1962 and began honoring outstanding achievement in this region with local EMMY awards in 1976. The Mid-America chapter includes the television markets primarily in Missouri, Arkansas and Illinois and surrounding DMAs: St. Louis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Springfield (MO), St. Joseph, Columbia-Jefferson City, Joplin-Pittsburg, Quincy-Hannibal-Keokuk, Ottumwa-Kirksville, Davenport-Rock Island-Moline. Paducah-Cape Girardeau-Harrisburg, Champaign-Springfield-Decatur, Fort Smith-Fayettville-Springdale-Rogers, Jonesboro, Monroe-Eldorado and Shreveport (LA). 		762
Mid-Atlantic
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences was founded in 1957, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter was chartered in 1981. It is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. It recognizes excellence in television with the coveted Emmy Award for News, Sports, Programming, Public Service and Technology. 		1745
National Capital Chesapeake Bay
The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is a nonprofit, professional organization serving the Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. television community. The Academy's Emmy Award is the industry's benchmark for the recognition of television excellence. 		836
New York
The Foundation of the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is a Not-for-Profit Corporation, dedicated to conducting activities which are exclusively charitable, literary, and educational in order to cultivate and encourage interest in the arts and sciences of television. We promote and encourage talent and ability in the composition, creation and performance of works for television. 		731
Ohio Valley
he roots of The Ohio Valley Chapter can be traced to 1959 when the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences was petitioned to form a regional Chapter in Columbus, Ohio. That Charter was granted by the National Trustees in September of 1962, marking the beginning of the National Academy's second "regional", known then as the Columbus Chapter of NATAS. In its first year, the fledgling organization named Merv Durea (Program Director, WLW-C) its first president, established a scholarship 'to be awarded to an outstanding Ohio State University student in television', and sponsored professional development seminars featuring Rod Serling (October 1962) and Shari Lewis (March 1963). 		694

Welcome to the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. We are dedicated to serving the television community in our area while recognizing and awarding excellence in television. Our Chapter serves San Diego, Bakersfield, Palm Springs, San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, and Las Vegas, Nevada. 		725
Rocky Mountain Southwest
The Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. We are a membership organization dedicated to excellence in television by honoring exceptional work through the prestigious Emmy® Award. We are the only professional association representing television professionals from all disciplines of the industry, serving as the common meeting ground for individuals dedicated to advancing the art and science of television. Our Chapter region serves Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and El Centro, California. 		702
San Fransisco/Northern California
On May 22, 1961, a group of about 25 representatives of the local television scene met with Harry Ackerman, NATAS President and Gail Patrick Jackson, President of the Los Angeles Chapter in the Royal Suite of the Sheraton Palace Hotel to discuss the possible formation of a San Francisco Chapter of NATAS. The group was very positive, and decided to appoint an interim committee to set up the bylaws and procedures for this new Chapter. That committee consisted of Ken Langley, California TB and Health Association; Nancy Besst of KGO; Martha Conger, J. Walter Thompson; Ben Draper, "Science in Action;" Don Arlett, KTVU; and Herb Rickles of TV Guide. Florence Fowler, Vista Productions and Jack Armstrong of TV Guide sat in as honorary members. 		718
Southeast Chapter
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast Chapter is a professional, non-profit association dedicated to excellence in visual medial.

While based in Atlanta, the chapter serves the southeast region comprising the following geographic areas: Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Asheville, NC.

Suncoast
The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is a nonprofit Florida corporation dedicated to excellence in television. We offer annual Emmy Awards called The Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards to television markets in the entire State of Florida, Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and NEw Orleans, Lousiana, Mobile, Alabama, Thomasville, Georgia and Puerto Rico. 		724

The Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Television Academy is a membership organization dedicated to excellence in television by honoring exceptional work, past and present; providing professional development and outreach; and nurturing the next generation of television professionals.
