College Award Rules
  1. Entry must have been produced and executed by students at a university, college or technical/vocational school residing in Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Oregon or Washington.
  2. Entry must have been first publicly viewed during the eligibility period of January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. Eligible methods of distribution include, but are not limited to, broadcast, cablecast, local school network and low power TV. If in doubt, ask.
  3. Entry must not have been available for viewing by more than 50% of the U.S. television homes during the eligibility year.
  4. At least two-thirds of a program entry must consist of original material, unless previously produced material has been given some unique and creative treatment that, in the opinion of the chapter awards committee, results in an original program. Entrants must identify all non-original material, including its location in the program.
  5. The program must have been produced and edited by students.
  6. Entry must have been produced for a grade in a course or program. Proof of grade may be requested.
  7. Entry must be submitted as originally telecast/cablecast.
  8. There may not be any post broadcast changes.
  9. Format: Submitted on DVD only.
  10. Run Time: Entry may not exceed 30 minutes, however a maximum of three edits are permitted to bring longer entries to the 30 minute requirement.
  11. Entry must be signed by the professor or teacher and include a list of all students involved in the production who are to receive acknowledgement.
